NorBAR Committees

Committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors for 1-year terms (January 2024 to December 2024), except for the Grievance and Professional Standards Committees. Committees typically meet monthly for 1-1 ½ hours. Attendance: Committee members that miss 3 meetings are automatically deemed to have resigned. Please note that although some committees meet virtually, others do not, and the schedule and meeting location is subject to change. To inquire about guest attendance, please contact us at info@nba.realtor and our team will be happy to connect you.

Chapter Committees
Work on a hyper-local level to manage weekly marketing meetings, events, and activities (e.g., mixers, holiday events). Chapter committees also work with the NorBAR Charity to plan and participate in fundraisers, scholarships, and/or donations to local organizations. Chapter committees also serve a primary role in the oversight and application of related policies and protocols.

Professional Standards

Prerequisites: Must have been a REALTOR® member for 3 years and attend training; previous service on Grievance Committee.

Local Government Relations Committees (LGRC) monitor and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on real estate-related policies, ballot measures, and political activities affecting the industry and local housing economy. Prerequisite: Must have attended at least 3 LGRC meetings as a guest in the past 12 months.

Local Candidate Recommendation Committee (LCRC)
The Local Candidate Recommendation Committee recommends candidates for financial support from the California Real Estate Political Action Committee (CREPAC), and for endorsement by the North Bay Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors (BOD). Prerequisite: Have served as a voting member of a Local Government Relations Committee (LGRC) for at least 1 year in the past 5 years – and have attend at least 6 LGRC meetings in the past 2 years.
