The North Bay Association of REALTORS® is governed by a Board of Directors who are dedicated to our members, leadership in the industry, the real estate profession, and the communities they serve. The NorBAR Board of Directors meets the fourth Friday of the month (except for July) at 9:00am.

Committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors for 1-year terms, except for the LCRC, Grievance and Professional Standards Committees. Committees typically meet monthly for 1-1 ½ hours. Attendance: Committee members that miss 3 meetings are automatically deemed to have resigned. Please note that although some committees meet virtually, others do not, and the schedule and meeting location is subject to change. Chapter Committees
Work on a hyper-local level to manage weekly marketing meetings, events, and activities (e.g., mixers, holiday events). Chapter committees also work with the NorBAR Charity to plan and participate in fundraisers, scholarships, and/or donations to local organizations. Chapter committees also serve a primary role in the oversight and application of related policies and protocols.
Member Services
Reviews and recommends to the Board of Directors products and services, promotes member benefits and helps find what tools are available to help members be successful. Plans and supports educational offerings for the year, reviews potential classes, and provides training that can assist members in their business.
Grievance
Reviews ethics complaints and arbitration requests. Makes the decision on whether to forward to the Professional Standards Committee for a hearing. Prerequisite: Must have been a REALTOR® member for 3 years and attend training.
Professional Standards
Serves on hearing panels to hear ethics and arbitration cases. Determines if the Code of Ethics was violated and corresponding disciplinary action. Makes the award in arbitration requests. Prerequisites: Must have been a REALTOR® member for 3 years and attend training; previous service on Grievance Committee.
Local Government Relations Committees (LGRC)
LGRCs monitor and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on real estate-related policies, ballot measures, and political activities affecting the industry and local housing economy. Prerequisite: Must have attended at least 3 LGRC meetings as a guest in the past 12 months.
Local Candidate Recommendation Committee (LCRC)
The Local Candidate Recommendation Committee recommends candidates for financial support from the California Real Estate Political Action Committee (CREPAC), and for endorsement by the North Bay Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors (BOD). Prerequisite: Have served as a voting member of a Local Government Relations Committee (LGRC) for at least 1 year in the past 5 years – and have attend at least 6 LGRC meetings in the past 2 years.
